Dear colleagues: I have some good news to share about a new partnership between SEVIS Education & Consulting and the EdUp International podcast!  In Episode 7, I had the pleasure of joining host James Shafer, and he and I discussed the role of the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) and the importance of the PDSO fulfilling the role of the primary communicator between our ISSS offices and the other departments at our schools.   Plus, beginning in Episode 8 of the podcast, we will be introducing "SEVIS Education Insights with Jesse!"  I am hoping

On Sept. 12, USCIS set forth new policy guidance for us to follow when determining eligibility for extraordinary ability (E11) and outstanding professor or researcher (E12).  The new guidance is effective immediately and set forth in Volume 6 of the Policy Manual.  In short, as you might expect, the guidance focuses on STEM fields, but it also clarifies how officers evaluate the totality of the evidence submitted.  If you have any questions about the new guidelines, feel free to contact me.

I am excited to announce the beginning of SEVIS Education & Consulting, LLC. I would never be here today without attending most of the workshops at IETS with June Sadowski-Devarez.
